Memorial Day!

This day is to remember all who have died in the service of our country.  We will never forget their sacrifice.  I want to thank all of them, their families, and the current soldiers who keep us safe.

I grew up in Chicago and moved away 22 years ago.  I will never move back.  Here are my top 10 reasons:
1. The weather!
2. The violence
3. The traffic
4. The corruption
5. The costs
6. The politics
7. President Obama
8. Mayor Emanuel
9. The congestion
10. Sprawl

Chicago is still a great place to visit.  I will always support the Bears, White Sox and Blackhawks.  I remember the city of my youth but it does not exist anymore.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers, step mothers and others.

To all the mothers happy Mother's day.  My mother had dementia and barely knows me but I remember the good times.   

Alabama is the last state to approve home brewing!

Thanks to the governor we can now home brew beer.   Many other things have to change but this is a small victory.  Now we can work on closing the ABC stores and selling liquor in grocery stores!  We need to get the State out of being a market participant.  We want to see private business thrive.   We need to get the State out of the liquor business.  State's should regulate not be in business.
