Alabama is the last state to approve home brewing!

Thanks to the governor we can now home brew beer.   Many other things have to change but this is a small victory.  Now we can work on closing the ABC stores and selling liquor in grocery stores!  We need to get the State out of being a market participant.  We want to see private business thrive.   We need to get the State out of the liquor business.  State's should regulate not be in business.

  1. Wow--I would have never thought that Alabama did not allow home brewing. I know that Virginia (where I worked before coming to Kansas) used to regulate liquor sales to the point of having only state-run liquor stores that kept a tally and I believe they used to have a rule that you could bring your own liquor to restaurants and they could keep it for you but that restaurants couldn't serve it themselves. Really, none of these rules accomplish any safeguarding; they are just intrusive and aggravating, and they interfere with the marketplace.
